Requirements for Library Services

  • To be eligible for library services, the student must be currently enrolled in one or more CSU Stanislaus courses and possess a CSU Stanislaus student ID card.

Student ID Cards

  • Upon verification that the distance learner has registered and paid their fees, the Library will send a form to the student to be completed and returned.  Upon receipt of the completed form, the Circulation Department will produce a pictureless ID card and will mail it to the student.  If you prefer an ID card with a picture, you may obtain one by visiting the Student Union Information Desk in Turlock or the Student Information Center in Stockton.

Finding Information

As a student of CSU Stanislaus you have borrowing privileges at the libraries of any of the CSU campuses.  Just present your student ID card upon request.  You may also be required to show a valid driver’s license or other means of identification.  Similarly, as a resident of your local community, you have access to your local public library and may also have access to libraries at local colleges and universities.  Ask a Reference Librarian at any library for assistance.  CSUS-Stockton students may obtain library services through the CSUS-Stockton Library Access Center.

  • These materials will be checked out to you and mailed first class to your home.  Every attempt will be made to respond within 48 hours (not including weekends).

  • If you have located books or journal articles not available at CSU Stanislaus, the Library’s Interlibrary Loan Department can get them for you from other libraries. You can request items online by using our online Interlibrary Loan Forms. You will need your student ID card to use these forms. Indicate in the “Comments” section of the form that you are a distance learner, and your material will be mailed to the address indicated.

Returning Library Materials
